For me one of the most prominent aspects of the fantasy trope is floating rocks. I don't know what it is but I just love them!
With that in mind I HAD to have a scenario with flying rocks!!

On the night of Geheimnisnacht, the night of mysteries when Morrslieb hangs full in the sky any warbands traveling the night must run the gauntlet to survive the night!

|Nothing shameful about this piece of grey!|
Another mixed bag of random miniatures after the break . . . . .

So the run up to the final week of term has been brutal.
It has seen me try to collate the course work of my year 11 SEN kids into some kind of narrative a moderator can actually understand.
As a consequence the gaming table looked like this until about 30 minutes before Shaggy and Lee turned up to play . . . . . . .

In the second game of the evening the three Aspiring Champions declare a truce in order to return to the Northlands through Imperial territory.
Their warbands wait at a short distance ready to intervene if there is treachery!
In the middle of the discussions an Orc maiden appears, with a strangely familiar looking baby in tow . . . . and a cuckolded (and very miffed) Orc Warboss!

The 'Path to Glory' (or damnation) continued for Shaggy, Lee and I this weekend during our . . . . .
Game one would see the three Aspiring Champions raiding an Imperial settlement while under the control of a more powerful Chaos Lord.
In the pillaging after breaching the walls the three Champions come across a Chapel of Sigmar being protected by a cadre of Warrior Priests and their apprentices.
Each Warrior Priest is worth 2 'infamy' IF slain by an Aspiring Champion and if there is only one warband left standing at the end they get 2 D3 infamy for burning the Chapel down at the end of 8 turns.
Will the truce forged between the Warbands during the raid last?
More after the break.

No 'Path to Glory' this week due to my volunteering to staff the Year 11 prom this Saturday last (carnage!).
But I did get to hit the brushes over the weekend.

After game one and the influx of 'infamy' I decided to go recruiting and rolled up another 5 warhounds!
This saw me take a 20 strong warband into game two of the night.
With Shaggy lined up across the board I decide to use the speed of my warband to form a strong left flank and try to boil through the isolated Nurglings before the rest of Shaggy's warband could turn up in support.

Game two of Saturday night saw me rolling the lowest so having to defend a sacred circle in the centre of the boards from the sacrilegious Nurgle and Slannesh (especially Slannesh 😈)

So somehow this year I have managed to paint / sell on over 90 miniatures.
Now at least a quarter of this is due to me giving Lano my Warmachine stuff as I think I have finally kicked that dirtiest of habits. But there has also been some painting.

With our Academy Easter break starting a week after everyone else I literally crawled over the finishing line at work on Friday.
I threw up the Bat signal Saturday to see if anyone fancied a Shadespire Throwdown.
It turned out quite a few people did!!

Had the absolute pleasure of playing the first two games in the Mordheim campaign I and several other lunatics are playing through this year.
With this being the 20th anniversary of the original release of the game it only seemed appropriate.

Round one of Riotville LIVE 2019 would see me take on Glen who had traveled over from Wales to take part!
Can't lie I was really glad he did as his army looked incredible.
