Full house at Riotville for Saturday night fights

The Action was fast and furious Saturday night with four in attendance.

First game I played my 'Gitz' deck against Shaggy and the new Snarlfang starter deck.

This Sunday Shaggy and I cracked open Dreadfane.

I was a bit miffed when I bought this in eBay and then GW released the warbands anyway.

I paid a little over the odds for it but now I have played it I am more then happy with my purchase.

Underworlds; Ironsoul's Condemnors finished

So I made a point of walking out of work on time this week, I had to nearly stiff arm my line manager in the face on the way out as he tried to talk to me but I managed it.

This saw me manage to get home and actually do some painting yesterday.

90 minute Paint blast; Ironsoul's Condemnors

Work and life had been mental for the last couple of weeks and I decided I needed something finished in one sitting.

I gave myself 90 minutes on Sunday and cracked into the Condemnors from the 'Dreadfane' boxset.

Three exceptionally tight games between Lee and I on Saturday with the final play of the cards swinging two of the three games. Brilliant stuff from a brilliantly designed game (and canny opponent)!

Answering the Warcry!

So with War Cry being released this Saturday (WA HOO!!!!!!) I decided to dig into my grey shame and see what warbands I could muster to play with along side the starter sets.

This Saturday, the three aspiring Champions of Nurgle, Slannesh and Khorne sat down to play the finale of our 'Path to Glory' . . . . . and what a finale!!

For me one of the most prominent aspects of the fantasy trope is floating rocks. I don't know what it is but I just love them!

With that in mind I HAD to have a scenario with flying rocks!!

On the night of Geheimnisnacht, the night of mysteries when Morrslieb hangs full in the sky any warbands traveling the night must run the gauntlet to survive the night!

Saturday Night fights: Path to glory. Tome of Magic

So the run up to the final week of term has been brutal.

It has seen me try to collate the course work of my year 11 SEN kids into some kind of narrative a moderator can actually understand.

As a consequence the gaming table looked like this until about 30 minutes before Shaggy and Lee turned up to play . . . . . . .

Saturday night fights: Path to Glory. Who's the daddy?

In the second game of the evening the three Aspiring Champions declare a truce in order to return to the Northlands through Imperial territory.

Their warbands wait at a short distance ready to intervene if there is treachery!

In the middle of the discussions an Orc maiden appears, with a strangely familiar looking baby in tow . . . . and a cuckolded (and very miffed)  Orc Warboss!

Saturday night fights: Path to Glory, Desecration of Sigmar!

The 'Path to Glory' (or damnation) continued for Shaggy, Lee and I this weekend during our  . . . . .

Game one would see the three Aspiring Champions raiding an Imperial settlement while under the control of a more powerful Chaos Lord.

In the pillaging after breaching the walls the three Champions come across a Chapel of Sigmar being protected by a cadre of Warrior Priests and their apprentices.

Each Warrior Priest is worth 2 'infamy' IF slain by an Aspiring Champion and if there is only one warband left standing at the end they get 2 D3 infamy for burning the Chapel down at the end of 8 turns.

Will the truce forged between the Warbands during the raid last?
