Another small sign of life

Work continues to be a slog with 60 hour weeks the norm.

That said I am still getting my Saturday night fix of gaming.

This Saturday we had a full house with 6 in attendance at Riotville.

We decided to play with the Regiment of renown skirmish rule set of Warhammer Fantasy 8th edition.

Essentially it is a 100 point warband skirmish game.

There is a list of equipment your 'Dogs of War' can pick from to add flavour to your warbands.

Your leader also gets 20 points of magic items for free and has a chance to 'upgrade' his stats after each game.

With no magic phase and only 25% of your models allowed to be ranged troops (we might have over looked this one by accident) the action is fast and furious.

Lots of games fitted into a 3 hour session.

And we even had time for a couple of card games afterwards.

In other news I also finished off my first 'proper' painting for the year with four Classic Chaos warriors.

Went with the classic red and gold for Khorne.

If it an't broke don't fix it ;0)

Half term coming up so hopefully I will get more productive as the year warms up.
