Saturday night fights: 1800 points of WHF

Saturday night saw 4 of us congregate in the garage.

With all that space it had to be Warhammer Fantasy!

After my arse kicking last Friday I had to play Phil. More after the cut.



First turn and I march forward and go all in on a searing doom.

5 knights fall and the rest bolt for the back table edge!

Phil's first turn and the Steamtank misfires 😊

With the collapse of the Imperial left I advance aggressively.

Phil's turn and guess what . . . . . . . . The Steam tank misfires again 😛

Once again my Wizard goes all in. This time with a spell that zaps any one on a 5+

Many, many Great Swords disappear!

I also manage to snipe out the Warrior Priest.

The advance of the Chaos forces continues.

My Knights silence the Imperial cannon.

Turn three and guess what . . . .  . . . YEP 😂

My Trolls charge in and vomit all over the tank!

Unfortunately it's not enough and the Trolls are ground under the wheels!

This is too much and they flee.

The stream tank crew barely has time to draw breath before the Chaos Knights charge in!

The Trolls rally.

The Imperial Knights unleash their fury and charge!!

The Chaos Knights are pulled under the steam tank wheels and massacred!!

But once again the steam tank crew do not have the chance to draw breath before the rallied Trolls come crashing in!

The Imperial Knights flee and the Tank is dissolved by the Troll vomit!

This is where I make an error.

My Warriors of Khorne charge in producing 4 attacks each.

I should have deployed them 8 abreast and focused down on the characters in the Imperial unit.

With a decent roll of the die I could have taken care of both the Imperial wizard and BSB.

Oh well lesson learnt.

The Khorite warriors are decimated but thankfully my Tzeentch warriors have overrun out of the Imperial front arc.

The battle ends a draw but I am more then pleased with how the battle went.

Roll on Riotville 2020!

Over on the other table Shaggy's Dwarves were battling against Lee's Lizard men.

The Lizards advance into the Dwarf guns.

The ethereal Slann priest flies forward and opens a magic can of whoop arse against the Dwarves.

Dwarf units crumble under the Lizard men onslaught.

Finally the Lizard infantry make contact and the lore of light fills them with 'roids and suddenly the Lizards think their elves and absolutely massacre the Dwarves!!

The ragged remains try to hang on.

But there is no respite for the Dwarves.

Another great night of gaming which seems to have fired everyone up for Riotville LIVE!! 2020.
