Legends of the Old West. Game two. Ambush at Coyote pass

FADE TO BLACK. . . .

FADE UP ON COYOTE PASS . . . . . .

With the gunsmoke from game one bearly cleared and Tookey revising his posse (to include LOTS of knifes!) we decided to set up for game two.

The board is reset and I pull out my badlands rock formation terrain which was on lone to RAW wargaming club.

Once again we play a standard shoot out scenario.

Tookey uses a more centralised deployment to concentrate his long range fire power.

Knowing I cannot win this snowball fight I 'run and gun' my posse towards the Lawdogs by the most direct route.

Volleys of lead are exchanged across the plateau as the posse's charge into 'fanning' range.

My meatshield 'toughs' with their toughness four keep my more fragile heros safe from harm as they storm into the fusillade.

The plateau is swathed in gun smoke and bodies start to fall!

My concentrated fire proves more effective and the Sheriff is left isolated and fighting for his life against two attackers.

Once again 'Bullet proof Bill' lives up to his reputation and walks unharmed through a cannonade of lead!

But he does fail his 'pluck' test and bolts for cover.

'Guns' Malone walks forward and shots 'Lucy' at point blank range.

It is still my turn but I decide to call game there and the Lawdogs scarper for the hills with their tails between their legs!!

All casualties survive their post game rolls and 'The Duke' improves his shooting stats to now be hitting on a 3+.

With the $50 odd dollars I earn I kit out my posse with additional shooting irons and 'The Duke' finds some boiler plate to wear 'The good, the bad and the ugly' style!

It's no surprise when 'Bullet proof Bill' rolls a 'kid done good' advance and joins the heros roster! It was only fitting.

    1. LOL!

I am really taken with the rules to.

Maybe we should rethink the pirates rule set if 'Legends of the high seas' is as good as this?

    1. Horses are too expensive at the moment!!

There is a horse rustling scenario in the book but we have to see if the campaign will take us there.
