Two episodes of Saturday night fights today as I was unable to blog over the Easter hols.
More after the break.
First up I finally got round to finishing my Shadespire terrain.
With the obelisk I tried to make it look like a spirit was trapped inside. This was inspired by the Shadespire novel.
I'm pleased with how they turned out.
The first fight of the 22nd would see me take on Lee and his freshly finished Orks.
This would see both warbands charge into the centre of the board and throw down!
I decided to go after Gurzag.
Gurzag falls and then I try to focus down on the other Orks.
Game two saw Lee and Shaggy throw down.
Once again the Orks advance aggressively
After the game the three of us sat down and had a go of 'Castle'. This is a co-operative game which saw the three of us try to escape 'the castle'.
It was good fun and I think the other two were suitably impressed with my voice acting (helped by drinking too much red wine by this stage) ;0)
The 27th was a busy 'Saturday night fights' with four of us in attendance.
The kids are at that stage where they are drinking pints of milk a day.
While I run out to get milk and biscuits Phil and Lee threw down.
Only got the one photo but Phil walked away the winner.
Game two saw Phil and I throw down.
With Phil making a beeline for the objectives I sent forward my 'red shirts' to knock them off their perches.
The rest of my warband advance to strike in phase two.
Phase two I make my assassination run!
Porn shot.
Saek then charges in to finish off the Warden.
I then take the fight to the rest of the Skellies.
Despite this Phil still takes the win!
On the other table Lee beat Shaggy.
Next round saw Shaggy taking on Phil.
While I took on Lee and his Orks.
I try to focus down on the isolated 'Bonecutter'.
Gurzag joins the fray!
Somehow at the end of the first phase everyone is still standing!
Saek and Carcus continue to hunt down Bonecutter.
By the throw of the final die Lee and I shake hands on a draw.
Over on the other table Phil edges it by a single glory!
Final round saw me take on Shaggy.
Once again I am forced to throw forward my 'Red Shirts' to knock the Fyreslayers off objectives.
By the third phase I only have two Reavers standing!
Over on the other table Lee has pulled out his Stormcasts and was taking on Phil.
Phil's Warden decides to hang out at the back and direct traffic.
Being outnumbered and outgunned against Shaggy I try to at least take the fight to the Slayers.
NOPE!!!!!!!! |
This sees Shaggy spank me 12 glory to 5.
So much fun!
