Breaking my painting duck . . . . .in a most unexpected way!

So I have finally broken my painting duck for the year.

For any international readers out there it's a cricketing term for when you get out without scoring a single run (i.e being useless,/ getting sod all done!).

It was my 4 year old nephews Birthday yesterday and because my brother is doing things right the kid is mad about Gorbash from the animated film 'Flight of Dragons'

So that's an easy fix and I ask my wife to buy him a green Dragon.

This turns up Saturday morning!

NOPE NOT GREEN!!

Out come the masking tape and rattle cans.

Quick check in the internet to get the colours right . . . . .

Base colours and ink washes. . . . . .

Edge highlights and eyes . . . . .

Two hours to go and I still need to do the wings . . . . .

Masking tape and tissues . . . . . .

Squeaky bum moment when I need to spray the wings . . . . . .

Right lets get these wings done . . . . .

All finished 10 minutes before we have to leave for the party 😣. . . . .

Now to get it back in it's box ready for wrapping.
