lego Mordheim. The Dark Knight rises!

Malcore the wizard could sense the presence of the artefact. Somewhere in this vicinity the treasure lurked. Malcore tried to divine it's precise location but the warpstone buried within the city were scattering the winds of magic and thwarting his attempts. There was no option; they would have to mine into the stone edifice before them and risk the noise awakening that damn Broken King and his retinue.

Silently they crept forward.

Lego Mordheim. The Saga continues. . . . . . With LOTS of exclamation marks!!!!!!

The 'Broken King' surveyed the destruction around the Temple of 'Sigmar is Awesome!'. His followers openly wept at the sacrilege daubed upon the walls of this most sacred or strutures!

Silently a sentry slipped into the side chapel were the King was collecting his thoughts and waited to be acknowledged.

Finally he could hold his nerve on longer . . . . "My Liege, a body of troops approaches, they are trying to not be detected and I doubt they are allied to us".

"Rouse the men" the King commanded "this insult will not go unpunished!".

Outside the shadows crept closer. . . . . . .

2015 a year in review.

Once again it is that time of the year where we secretly pat yourself on the back under the pretence of looking back over the previous year.

This one is going to be easy.

The first six months of the year can be summed up in a single word MORDHEIM!!!!!!!!

Lego Mordheim. Game two. The desolation of Ellis!!!!!

The Broken King stood upon the parapit of the gate house and despaired at the sight of his ruined capital before him.

The Comet had hit while he was away on crusade. Within the blink of an eye his once great capital had been destroyed. With the destruction of his seat of government, his kingdom had fragmented like a cart wheel without it's hub.

Insidious forces both within and beyond his borders had struck at his weakened state with vulpine hunger, ripping his kingdom apart.

Thankfully the first battle of the Gatehouse had been won, his toe hold on his city secured! Now onwards to the Temple of 'Sigmar is AWESOME!'

Lego Mordheim. Game one. Everything is awesome in the battle for the gate house

"Back you varmints..... BACK!!"

With the building of some terrain last weekend, me and the boy sat down last night to spend our 400 gold coins.

With our warbands decided we were off bright and early this morning (after Athletics) to the Lego shop at Westfield to buy any bits we needed.

Then the bad news. Both the zombies and Lego castle range is discontinued! Thankfully the young lad helping us was an absolute superstar. He 'felt' his way through about 100 packs of minifigs to use his special 'lego helper' powers to find both the Evil Wizard and Goblin minifigs. I was a bit apprehensive opening the packets but the fella was spot on and found us both figures just by the feel of the bricks inside!!!!!!

It all gets a bit exciting!!!!!!

Lego Mordheim. The GENIUS of a five year old!!!!

The 'Broken King' explores the ruined White Tower

With the conclusion of our current Mordheim campaign coming soon (basicially Neil is the run away winner but we just need to get the main protagionist together to have a final 'Royal rumble' style final fling of the die to see who actually takes the Temple of Sigmar!), I was writing a blog post about the adventures of my warband as a final farewell.

The view from the top is AWESOME!

During the drafting my 5 year old walks in, looks at the pictures on screen, down at the mini's lined up in my display case and asks "Whats that Daddy?".

I give him a brief explaination and show him some battle report shots and he asks "can we play a game?", it's with a heavy heart I have to reply "Sorry Son all my terrain is at Neils' in Romford".

"Whats terrain Daddy?"

"Terrain is buildings and stuff. Like that tower." I reply pointing at a Gate house in the photos.

He ponders for a minute or so and then bolts down the stairs and I hear him crashing round his room. A couple of minutes later his head appears bobbing back up the stairs and he is dragging a BIG box of Lego behind him.

"Can we use this for terrain Daddy?"
