The weather continues to be miserable and the light has been atrocious for painting but I perservered to get the Marine scout finished for Thursday.
Now I have posted the pictures of the painted figure I wish I had not bothered!
It's only now I can see how badly I have done!
At least the figure is finished. The photo below is my favourate view of the figure at the moment.
I also slapped some paint on the 'head of security' figure but gave up.
Glad I did as I am fairly pleased with the start to the great coat but have made a right pigs ear of the face.
At least they have nothing to lose in a fist fight. 2Key can't make them any uglier!
Miniatures painted / sold this year = 208
I think you are being awfully hard on yourself, there is tons of brooding malevolence in both these characters.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, but what I thought I had achieved in poor light and the reality in day light are very different.
DeleteYep, both looking good to me. The photos are ultra zooms so you'll always pick on details you wish you hadn't seen but the same goes for all of us ^^'
ReplyDeleteImpressive Model count !
Thank you so much. I think the events in Paris have soured my mood. Stay safe.
DeleteI like them, are you using the foundry paints?
ReplyDeleteAnd don't be too sure, I fucked the inquisitor up so badly he is the goo stripping and thinking thinking about he has done!
No these are P3 paints.
DeleteI feel for you man. Apart for the Mutie this lot are refusing to co-operate!
Look fine to me Riot, its always easier to see faults in your own painting and as Asslessman says the zoom highlights stuff non of us normally notice.
ReplyDeleteI guess but after Warhammer World I really wanted to push my painting on. These feel like a step backwards.
DeleteI think they look great mate. The great coat has a good 5 o clock shadow
ReplyDeleteThanks for noticing. I was trying for that effect.
DeleteStill not sold on the face. It will need repainting in the future.
